Who We Are

Koiop Connect is a disability support service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Hunter and Western regions. Our team was established in response to the lack of appropriate resources and the local community’s demand for support and culturally respectful services.

Our Vision

’Koiop’ means Dragonfly in Meriam Language of the Torres Strait Islands. It signifies change and the perspective of self-realisation. Koiop reflects a deep meaning and understanding of life through mental and emotional maturity. Koiop Connect aims to inspire this meaning by working with clients and embracing their culture.

Our Mission

To provide unique culturally respectful and sensitive support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability. Koiop Connect offers services that encourage independence, quality of life and community inclusiveness.
