After 20 years, Odysseus finally returns to Ithaca, where he finds his wife held captive by suitors fighting to become king, and his son awaits death at their hands. To bring back his family and everything he lost, Odysseus must regain his strength. For the third time, Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche starred together in the film. They also worked together in Les Hauts de Hurlevent (1992) and The English Patient (1996). Penelope: How can people find their way to war, but not find their way home? Odysseus: For some, war becomes home. after all, this is a small part of the history of the Odyssey, that’s why it is called " return”. Most of all, I liked the fact that there are no computer images and stupid computer walls that we are used to seeing in most Hollywood films. All the walls are natural, Juliette Binos and Ralph Fiennes are beautiful in the videos. The view from places around the sea and everything around is natural. Well… Maybe the story could have been a little wider. The palace is old, real and very beautiful. The Greek island of Corfu, where the film was shot. For the first time I saw a very low-budget film, but in fact it is very good.
